Scholarship Mission:

The Village Scholars scholarship seeks to foster the creative endeavors of graduating Minneapolis high school students by offering a recurring $5,000 scholarship to students interested in pursuing an education and career in a creative field.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Graduating senior from a Minneapolis Public School or DeLaSalle OR a graduating senior from Perpich Arts High School who resides in Minneapolis.
• Interested in pursuing an education/career in a creative field
• Minimum 2.5 GPA
• Evidence of financial need 
• Essay describing how the arts have impacted your life and how the scholarship will help you achieve your goals of pursuing an education/career in the arts (500 word max)
• Two references/letters of recommendation 

Award Information:

• This scholarship is renewable for three additional years. Recipients are expected to maintain regular communication with the Minneapolis Foundation and provide information annually in order to renew their scholarship.  
• Recipients will be invited to an annual gathering in the summer to meet with the Village Scholars Committee and past scholarship recipients.
