Overview
The Minnesota College Possible Scholarship is a non-renewable scholarship of up to $2,000 for students who are approaching graduation from a Bachelor’s Granting Institution.
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have 60 completed credits at the time of application
- Be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress with a GPA above 2.0 and successful course completion rate of 66% or higher
- Have a demonstrated financial need for a billable cost (see details below in FAQ)
- Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s granting degree program

Q. What kind of need does the College Possible Scholarship address?
Direct, billable costs paid through a student account at a college or university that is not covered by financial aid: i.e. tuition, meal plan, fees, reducing student loan debt
This CANNOT include: Off campus housing/rent not billed through a student account, paying off an existing loan, a past due balance, groceries, utilities, gas, parking or any other expense that is not billed on your student account
Q. I am attending a 2 year community college, can I apply for the College Possible Scholarship?
Students at 2 year community colleges with an accepted transfer to a 4 year institution for the semester the scholarship is funding may apply. I.E. Student is currently enrolled at Century College but has already been admitted to Metropolitan State University for next semester.
Q. I am graduating at the end of this semester but I still have a gap that I have to cover. Can I apply to the College Possible Scholarship?
No. The scholarship can only be applied to a future semester.
Q. My Financial Aid covers all of the direct costs at my school, but I have other costs that are difficult for me to cover. Can I apply to the College Possible Scholarship?
The scholarship cannot be awarded to cover expenses that are not billed through the institution. The scholarship award can only be sent directly to the institution.
